October 28, 2017: WDWMagic.com user WDWtraveler has posted a series of photos on the expansion to ESPN's Wide World of Sports.
July 25, 2016: The Disney Parks Blog revealed concept art and details of the expansion coming to ESPN's Wide World of Sports.
The new facility will be constructed next to the Jostens Center and it will feature a flexible competition space capable of seating more than 8000 fans in up to four different competition areas.
The venue will be designed with both cheerleading and dance competitions in mind will be the only venue of its kind in North America. It is expected to debut within 18 months.
