Rumor StatusBlue Sky
Rumors of a new World Showcase Pavilion have been discussed for years, but the strongest current rumors point to Brazil and India as the likeliest candidates. The speculation would have the Brazil Pavilion added between the Germany and Italy Pavilions. It is unlikely that any new World Showcase pavilions open prior to 2022.
Rumors for each of the pavilions are as follows:
- $450 million budget, of which a Brazilian company/sponsor would pay $250 million
- This could involve the Three Caballeros
- Boat ride based on the live action version of the Jungle Book and the boat ride would utilize the same ride system technology as Pirates of the Caribbean Battle for the Sunken Treasure in Shanghai Disneyland.
Spain and Puerto Rico have also been rumored at various points.
